Contractor insurance and bond services
We start with your trade, the work you perform, your payroll and vehicles, and the terms in your contracts. Depending on the risk and available markets, the review may include:
- General liability for third-party injury and property damage, with contract-required limits and endorsements when available.
- Commercial auto for business vehicles, plus hired and non-owned auto liability where needed.
- Tools, equipment, and property for items at the shop, in transit, or at a jobsite, subject to the policy's terms.
- Builders risk, professional liability, and pollution liability when the project or scope of work calls for them.
- Surety bonds for applicable license, bid, performance, or payment requirements.
- Contract review and certificates to identify requested additional insured, primary and noncontributory, and waiver of subrogation wording before work begins. Endorsements and certificates are subject to insurer approval and policy terms.
Washington contractors
Washington's Department of Labor & Industries requires a surety bond or assignment of savings and general liability insurance for contractor registration. The exact requirements depend on the registration and work. We can help review the liability and bond needs alongside your project contracts. Washington workers' compensation is provided through L&I or an approved self-insured employer; private workers' compensation policies are not sold for Washington exposure. See Washington L&I contractor registration and workers' compensation guidance.
Oregon contractors
Oregon's Construction Contractors Board ties bond and liability insurance requirements to the contractor's endorsement. Contractors hiring employees generally must arrange workers' compensation coverage. We can review your CCB endorsement, liability limits, bond, workers' compensation, vehicles, and contract requirements together. See the Oregon CCB licensing resources.
